Flammer Relations Partners with Advocates for Children
Flammer Relations, Inc. has partnered with Advocates for Children to spread the word about the non-profit organization’s annual Duck Season. Advocates for Children strives to provide safety, comfort and hope to troubled children and youth in Northwest Georgia, and heavily relies on the success of the Duck Season to maintain operations and programming. The team at Flammer Relations, Inc. will use their public relations and social media expertise to help increase sponsorship, donations and attendance at the fundraising events during the Duck Season.
“We are happy to support this extraordinary organization,” said Carol Flammer, President of Flammer Relations, Inc. “We plan to spread the word on the Duck Season to bring awareness to Advocates for Children and the many fundraising events during the Duck season to help them achieve their financial goals.”
The Duck Season consists of a series of events leading up to the Duck Derby on May 17, 2008.
• Kicking off the week on May 9, 2008, is a black-tie optional “Egg-ceptional Evening,” which is a live and silent auction.
• The following day, Saturday, May 10, 2008, the Duck Derby parade through downtown Cartersville will begin at 10 a.m.
• Next on the calendar of events, on May 16, 2008, is a free concert featuring an Atlanta favorite, Banks and Shane.
• Then, finally, Duck Day on May 17, 2008, with the 5k Duck Dash in the morning, followed by the Duck Derby.
These events, and the Duck Derby in particular, are the main fundraising event of the year for Advocates for Children. The goals set by the organization this year are high, hoping to have at least 30,000 ducks adopted for the derby and maximum attendance and community involvement with all other events. These are challenging goals, but Flammer Relations, Inc. is happy to lend a helping hand to turn these ambitions into a reality.
