It’s so quiet around here!
Now that the kids have gone back to school, it’s really quiet around here! During the summer we had a house full of mostly teenagers, and there was always music, lots of conversation and video gaming going on simultaneously. When it came time to send them off to school, the generosity of our community was, as usual, overwhelming. Many of the children arrive here with nothing more than the clothes on their backs, and it is because of the donations you provide that we are able to supply them with the things they need.Every day people showed up with clothing, school supplies, and toiletry items. Thank you for your willingness to stand with us as we offer safety, comfort and hope to children who have nowhere else to turn. As Henry Ward Beecher said, “Children are the hands by which we take hold of heaven.” By showing these children that someone cares for them, we are not only giving them a more hopeful future, we ensure a better tomorrow for our community.
